I'm intending to use the expression pedal/s with my Strymons and also a H9. It was very easy to set up the MC6 to control the Mobius but it seems that the expression pedal is set as a global device not per preset. I was hoping the context of it could change by preset with an option for a single use global setting. Example - if I hit 'A' the expression pedal controls the rotary rate of the Mobius, if I hit 'B' it controls the speed of delay on the timeline. Is this possible to incorporate in a future software release? If not it seems like the Source Audio Reflex might have to make an appearance on my board in addition to the MC6...

You could use the "Select Exp Message" type to select individual or a combination of exp messages to send out.
So you could have the expression messages programmed like this: ExpMsg1 send out a CC#0 0-127 message, and ExpMsg2 send out a CC#1 0-127 message, and your switches programmed to select either/and/or.
Is it possible to have the expression pedal use the same control change for a different preset with different ranges within a bank?
Brilliant thankyou
Great!
Sorry I missed your earlier response.
You can download the manual here: https://www.gitbook.com/book/morningstar-engineering/mc6-manual/details
All set up now. Thanks for the quick response and clarification
That's great news. Thanks very much for the clarification. I'll give it a go. I intend to fully exploit the capabilities of the MC6 and have the three midi implementation charts printed out to see what I can control. Any chance you could make your manuals available as a PDF as it's useful for me when reading up on this stuff on the train where live web is limited
Hi!
The Expression pedal on the MC6 is set to per-bank. Meaning, if you change bank on the MC6, the settings on the expression will change as well. To suit your needs, there is a "Select expression Message" message type that you can use to select a specific (out of the 8) expression message to send out. Meaning, you can press Preset A, and your expression pedal will only send out the first exp message. Press preset B, and it will send out a different message, or even a combination of messages. Do check out our Midi types manual, or the latest v2.5 beta release log for more info.
