morningstar mc6 mkii disabling "toggle" function

I am using the morningstar mc6 mkii with my line 6 hx stomp. I am running into an issue where i assign a switch to increase amp drive. I save the preset in edit mode and all seems to work properly. if i cut power to the board, the next time i power up, the mc6 has change my preset and disabled the toggle function so that i can activate the drive (or whatever parameter i set), but it will not toggle off. i have to open up the editor and activate "toggle on". help!
