On the Disaster Area DMC controllers, you can scroll to a specific preset on each of your connected devices and then hold a switch to save this configuration. In this way, you can save these combinations to a verse, bridge, chorus, etc. It seems that the DMC saves the current array when you hold down the save switch.
It would be fantastic if this feature existed on the MC6. Perhaps it would be an option on the switch configuration screen. I believe currently when you click a switch and then enter edit mode, you have options for Msg, Name, Full Name, etc. I'd love to see "Save Array" (or something to that effect) as an option.
Is this doable?
Yeah, it'd be great if in the switch edit options (where you can add short name, long name, etc), if there was an option to "copy current Progam Change array to switch". So if you had 3 pedals set up like: pedal one currently has PC 3, pedal two has PC1 and pedal three has PC8 and you saved this to a switch, the switch (if you looked at the messages) would essentially have this automatically coded:
Msg 1: PC Change, PC 3, MIDI channel 1
Msg 2: PC Change, PC 1, MIDI channel 2
Msg 3: PC Change, PC 8, MIDI channel 3
For simplicity, maybe the default action could be "Press" (if using an MKII).
@James - Morningstar is this possible?
This mode on the DMC is called Preset mode P1 = whatever current patches are selected on the midi devices on each midi channel- Timeline midi channel 1 using patch 05b, Bigsky midi Channel 2 using patch 011c, H9 midi channel 3 using patch 36 = Preset 1 on the DMC, Save to the midi controller from the midi controller without having to do it in an online editor
Love this Idea, just bought an MC6 Mk2 and an ML5, i currently oun a Disaster Area DMC-3XL Gen 2 and i use this function exclusively when setting up presets to use on my Timeline, Bigsky and H9
