Gig-Rig Setup w/ MC6 MKII

Pictured is my gig rig. One trip in, one trip out. Heavy stuff rolls, carry the guitar. Plug one power into the wall, plug the guitar in, plug the MC6 MK II in, and play.

I play many styles, with about a fifth of the tunes on a given night having a latin feel. For that I use the GP-10 to model a nylon classical. For instant versatility, I use it for all of my guitar, amp, and effects tones. (Except keyboards from the EHX Key 9.)

As evident, the GP-10 isn't on the floor. Makes for a simpler setup, and easier editing. But its foot switches are no longer very usable - hence the MC6. MIDX-20 (pictured on the side) does translation from GP-10 to MC6 and powers the MC6 via the usb cable.

The American Looper aux box gives instant access to three guitar/amp model patches (Seville, Jazz Clean, and Overdrive). The bottom three MC6 switches are for Chorus, Reverb, and Solo. The top three MC6 switches are pickup selection for electrics, and alt tunings for the acoustic models.

Other patches I access via the GP-10 (such as steel string acoustics, and Key 9 keyboards). The MC-6 still controls effects and alt tunings for those patches.

A few mods and tricks here and there, but that's the gist of it.

It's a great sounding 150 watt rig, ready for almost anything I throw at it, while not breaking my back. And getting me into and out of gigs quickly.
