The description of this MIDI type in the manual is a bit confusing.
I'm looking for a PC increment and decrement function, but it appears that this MIDI type in the MC6 only scrolls between a preset list of 8 PCs. Is this correct.
To clarify, what I'm looking for is for the pedal to just send either PC+1 or PC-1, without regard to the current PC, so it can be a "scroll up (or down) and let the receiving device decide to roll over to the beginning (or end) of the bank..."
Thanks in advance!
Hi James... thanks for the info.
My interest is in using an MC6 with a Fractal Axe FX (particularly an XL+). I know that with Fractal's MFC-101, there's a mode on the MFC (setting the bank size to one preset as opposed to 5 or 10) that makes the bank up and down footswitches increment or decrement presets one at a time... so I presume there's a related midi instruction/message, but there's no info on this (hidden?) instruction on the Fractal forum.
If you have any other suggestions on this, specific to the Axe Fx, they'd be appreciated!
Hi,
Unless your devices as a midi implementation that allows you to scroll to the next or previous preset, that is not possible. There isn't a PC+1 or PC-1 message in the midi protocol.
