Yo! I absolutely love this pedal, and I use it to control my Boss DD-500 and Empress Effects Reverb. I switched my DD-500 to the A-B-C patch mode, thus losing the tap tempo switch on the unit. I know I can use the MC6 to tap the tempo in (which i can do successfully). My question is - is there a way to turn off the tempo information it sends when I switch to a different patch on the DD-500?
Example: I have a bank on my MC6 setup for just general jammin out - with a tap tempo option for one of the switches. Most of my delay presets are pre configured for the exact tempo of the song I am playing in my band. So when I switch from my jammin out bank with a tempo tapped in...when I go to a new MC6 bank for a specific song and hit the first preset for my delay, I want that preset to have the tempo I have already programmed in the DD-500 itself, instead of the tempo I tapped in prior on the MC6. Does that make sense?
I believe this setting in under "REALTIME SRC" in the DD-500, and in the manual, it seems like there isn't any way to enable or disable this via an external device. So if the DD500 is set to receive incoming real-time messages, it'll adjust the BPM according to what it receives.
The MC6 only receives and transmits incoming midi clock messages, but does not process it.
