Is there a way to know the toggled state (i.e.on or off) of a switch? They toggle back and forth just fine but there is no real way short of looking at the controlled device, if that assigned function is actually on or off. With no status lights as feedback this will get tricky in live use. I do notice that sometimes when a switch is pressed the action in not positive, and it will quickly jump from on to off and back to on, acting like a momentary press switch, not a latching switch.
I did read this in the manual. Assuming I am understanding it correctly, is this the only option for switch position status?
"Toggle Name Change
If you add a "#" to the first character of your long name, it will be designated for use with
toggle messages. You can now switch between 2 short names in your main preset display
page. For example, if you have Preset A programmed to be a CC Toggle, short name =
"Clean" and long name = "#Crunch", your display for Preset A will switch between "Clean"
and "Crunch", depending on the toggle position for that preset."
I will certainly check that out as well. Thank you!
You can also add a blink message to your presets, which will cause the preset name to blink when toggled.
Never mind, just found that option too!
That Toggle Name Change method worked as I had hoped. The buttom presses are still unpredictable though. about 50% of time it's on/off, the other you never knwo which state it will end up on. Might be my pressing technique? I am updated to FW 2.5. There's no switch sensitivity adjustment is there?
