Good to hear you got it sorted. You can power the MC6 either using the 9V input or via USB. When you have it connected tho your Mac the USB cable is supplying power. I power my MC6 using a $2.00 USB power brick I bought at the $ store.
turns out to be an unpowered MidiBox! The power cable i had was bad and the unit did not power on. Strange how it would pass midi with USB plugged into the MC6, but oh well. Problem solved!
ok, thanks. On the face of it it sounds like things should work so just a few more things.
Are you using midi cables between the MC6, the Stomp and the Timeline. More specifically can you describe the signal path both when plugged into the Mac and standalone without the Mac.
When you are using it with the editor are you powering it from the Truetone at the same time.
Can you set up a midi monitor on your Mac. I get it that it works when the USB is plugged in but setting up a monitor will allow you to confirm that the data are being sent as you expect. I‘ll say parenthetically that you may have to go to James to get this cleared up but using a monitor and confirming the data are being sent or not will help. On the Mac you will be able to monitor the data while the editor is plugged in.

I’d like to help if I can but you don’t provide enough information.
What are you using to power the MC6 when not using the Mac+USB.
What device are you using it with
What are you sending the commands over - USB or Midi cable
also, i've made sure to Exit EDIT MODE.
