Hi James,
I took little bit of a break from using my MIDI gear, but started using my MC6 again last night.
It seems that it is no longer sending midi messages over the MIDI OUT connector.
When I run the Midi Monitor, I can verify that commands I've programmed are correct.
I've done all the basic troubleshooting and verified that my midi cables and other midi gear are working properly. On the MC6 I've done a factory reset, reinstalled v2.4.2 firmware, etc, but that hasn't solved anything.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
Dennis
Hi James,
It's not the midi cables. I've tried 4 different cables and tested them for continuity with a cable tester.
These cables work properly when I connect 2 other pieces of MIDI gear together.
I'll send you an email re: shipping. Thanks for your help
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
Just wanna make sure: You've checked that it is not an issue with the MIDI cable? Asking again because most of the time, that's the issue.
If so, please drop us an email and we'll send you the shipping address to mail it to.
Updated to v2.5 beta firmware = no change.
Midi messages from MC6 only being read by midi monitor when the MC6 is connected to my mac via USB.
Hooked up MC6 midi out to my Mac via Roland UM-1G and connected to midi monitor URL = no messages being received by mac.
Removed MC6 and connected a different midi device to my mac using the same chain = mac receiving midi messages.
Any other ideas?
Hi James,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I will try v2.5 beta tonight and let you know how it goes.
Cheers
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
Try updating to the v2.5 beta firmware. It is unlikely that the MIDI out will just stop working after a period of no usage. If you have a MIDI interface, you could try plugging it in and see if the MIDI messages are going through to your computer.
If you have verified that it is not your cable or device that is spoilt, you could send it back to us and we'll check it out for you.
