Anyone else using both the MC6 and the ML5?
I received my ML5 a couple of days ago. Very excitedly got it all set up.
But... the big issue I find is that when I click from say low gain OD to high gain OD (same mild OD pedal and turning on a different OD pedal to stack into it), there's a very noticeable 'fade' out of the old signal and a fade in of the new signal.
As though it drops to silence and back again.
It feels like it takes half a second to do it, though it's probably quicker.
But the big issue is the fact the audio really drops out and in.
If it took half a second for the second pedal/setting to kick in, you can time it. But the audio drop is quite painful.
Is there any way around this, does anyone know?
Thanks!
James, I think it's an issue with MIDI channels. The Ventris is channel 1, and I can't seem to write to the ML5 if I have it on any channel other than 1. So I need to get the board connected up to the laptop to change the Ventris MIDI channel to see if that solves it.
In short, I am guessing both the Ventris and the ML5 are trying to do what is being sent to channel 1.
Another question, though:
Is there a CC# for the ML5 to toggle each loop on and off?
It would be nice to have a page on my MC6 that has a switch per loop, so that I can toggle gain one on and off with switch A, gain two on and off with switch B (etc), rather than having to set up 'Loop E on switch one', 'Loop E & B on switch two' etc.
Thus like 'manual mode' on most switchers; manual control of each loop.
