MC6/Midi newbie - how to assign bank up down to footswitch ?

Hi, I am using the MC6 with my Axe FX III. I have been able to program the foot switches on bank one (& page 1) to perform functions such as turning onand off effects, engaging looper, setting tempo, turning on tuner etc. what I can't seem to get it to do is to have a foot switch change banks up or down or to have a footswitch toggle the pages. I would prefer for example, to be able to do a long press or double tap on a foot switch to go up a bank or down the bank as opposed to pressing buttons one and two simultaneously or two and three simultaneously
