Attempted to load the new firmware. MC6 went dark and then displayed a dark row of blocks on the upper row of display. Pressing the reset button on the circuit board did not fix.

Resolved! I had the MC6 connected to my iMac via a USB hub. One I expanded the firmware installer window I could read the entire error message.
connected straight to computer and was able to press the reset button (with the installer window open) and was able to install the firmware.
