Hi, I am being quite successful programming my new MC6 to control my boss rc 505 and rc 202, but I have two questions.
1: It seems that the only actions that are working are press and release. I am not able to make things like double tap or long press. Does anybody experienced this with other equipment?
2: There are two different ways I have found to make communication. First, using toggle and assigning CC#, value 0 for position 1 and value 127 for position 2. It works but I have to press twice the button on the mc6. Does anybody have an explanation for this? It is not helpful to have to press two times the button to get one action in position 1, (e.g.: REC) and other two times to get the next in position 2 (e.g: OVERDUB).
The other way I have found (but also I don't know why) is assigning two actions to the same button, first one in PRESS and value 0 and second one in RELEASE and value 127, same number of CC# for both. I don't know why, but with this procedure, I am able to get the actions I need in just one press (and releasing at the same time), so it is useful but I can't undrstand it.
Thanks in advance!
Resurrecting an old thread here for some insight...
Has anyone successfully used their MC6 to control a Boss RC-505 loop station?
@Enrique Vaz Oliver looks like you started the process...any updates on how it worked out?
Try using "Release" Actions instead of "Press" Actions in your Presets.
Don't forget, some functions, like Double Press and Long Press, do not work in Edit mode. Don't forget to toggle out of Edit mode when testing Presets.
