Hi There!
I'm looking for a midi controller to use with Mainstage acting as a host for S-Gear. I want to be able to switch patches in the Mainstage setlist and turn things like delays and reverbs on and off, tap tempo, etc.
Mainstage has the ability to send the state of a switch via midi (CC messages) to sync a midi device with the Mainstage control state, enabling me to see at a glance what is turned on or off (eg; the Korg nanoKontrol2 allows this to control LED status). My question is whether the MC6 will respond to these messages and change the blink state of the switch name on the LCD display?
Thanks and regards,
Simon
The app programs are now being introduced in many firms and they are working really good according to lot of reviews I read on https://www.theacademicpapers.co.uk/phd-dissertation-help.php and happy to see that the company introduced it.
Thanks for the guidance, that makes it more clear.
You can use a PC or CC Toggle so switch between positions, along with a blink message to set the preset name to blink when the toggle is in a certain position. However, you can't sync the blink together with what is the status on mainstage as midi is one directional. For example, if you click a button on main stage to change a status , the MC6 (or almost every other midi controller) cannot sync with that action.
I looked, this is not explained in the manual. I would like the MC6 tofollow the status in Mainstage and blink when the effect is off. Can you help me set this up?
Hi Simon,
In v2.5 (Beta), we added a midi implementation that allows you to set the state of each switch in the MC6 by using CC#2 and CC#3 messages. More info in our manual under Midi Implementation. This will allow you to change the state of the text and/or blink in each preset.
