Digging into my MC6mk1-- does anyone else have an issue with CC Toggling commands?
My MC6 will occasionally not engage (or disengage) when I send a command-- I'll tap to send a 127 CC to engage something, and it will activate. I'll tap again and nothing will happen. Then tap and the command will disengage.
Looking into what's actually happening: the switch is actually toggling really quickly. It'll flash 0-127-0 immediately, so the engage toggle went through... just a disengage command followed it a millisecond later, so nothing will actually switch on.
The CC message command works fine, and CC Toggle Hold (a "momentary" switch") doesn't seem to be an issue, but I can't get CC Toggle to be reliable.
Any thoughts?
It does seem to happen with any given switch.
I don't think it's corruption... it just seems to occasionally send a "double tap," and on/off combo so quickly that the switch returns to its pre-stomped state it doesn't really count as having been engaged. It's not every time, but it's often enough to be unreliable when you're relying on changing something during a performance.
I cranked up the sensitivity in order to prevent accidental bank changes, and I wonder if lowering the sensitivity would rectify the issue, but I don't believe the MK1 has a Looper Mode or other options to prevent bank changes... and accidental bank changes (randomly ending up on a page of empty patches during a show while you're trying to activate something) are even more frustrating than the inconsistent CC sends.
I don’t have a mk1 but will make a couple of suggestions in the event they might help.
I have had problems with mk2 presets getting corrupted. I have found the only solution is to delete and clear the preset and start anew.
Do you have the problem no matter which footswitch the preset is using. If not, it may be possible the footswitch is at fault.
