I am trying to edit my presets on Timeline but whenever I get to the previous preset it hangs up and doesnt move from that preset setting. Firstly, should I factory reset MC6 or have you got other options? If yes, how?

Hi! what firmware version are you using?
There might be a bug that has been fixed in the v2.5 beta firmware.
What you can do is:
if your problem preset is in bank 1 preset A, you can copy preset B, go to bank 2 and press preset A, then go back to bank 1. If you press D+F, the edit preset setting will load preset A in bank 1. You can paste the preset to overwrite it, or edit the settings there.
