is there a way to not show the bank name (or number if no name is given) when you switch banks, so that you can issue the next command instantly?
Example: I have one switch set to scroll through my connected devices. I’d like to then be able to activate a device once I switch to that bank. However there is a small delay when it shows what bank you have just switched to. I thought there was a way to hide that. Or am I wrong, and there will always be that delay?
You could also add a "#" at the start of the bank name e.g. "#Bank1". The MC6 will skip displaying the bank name and immediately load the next/previous bank.
Ha, I hear ya.
But yeah, I have a "home page" bank on my MC6 - bank 1 - that I use to navigate to my 5 connected MIDI devices. Those devices are set up on banks 21 - 25, respectively. So switch A has a Set Bank message of 21 which goes to bank 21, switch B has a Set Bank message of 22 which goes to bank 22, etc. It's pretty useful.
Oh awesome that’s so simple. Thanks a lot. Stupid Siri also interpreted “A” as “eight”.
Hey jay - you should be able to use the Set Bank midi type, So assign that midi type to switch 8 (switch H?), and use a value of 10 to go to bank 10.
Well that’s a great solution. I do have another question on this can you quickly select a bank by programming one of the switches for bank change? So for instance can I press switch eight and have it go to bank ten?
You could just put a '#' and leave the rest blank.. You could also just leave the name there, technically it won't make a difference :)
Wow, simple enough! So would I need a name at all, or just name the bank "#"? Or maybe the purpose of naming it is so you know which bank you're editing if you open the web editor?
yes there is..! Simply start the bank name with a "#" for the banks which name you want to skip.
