Hi Everyone, I have such a small problem, I can not configure Dunlop Mini X with MC6. Could someone tell me how to do it exactly? I've tried all the methods :)
I'm using the pedal with a HX Stomp and no need to invert the input. Make sure you are using a TRS to TRS cable. (The HXS requires a TS jack.) If you are using the right cable and you move the pedal, a message will be displayed on the MC6 indicating which expression port is being used and where the pedal is in its range. If the cable isn’t the right one no message will be displayed.
Move the pedal before configuring it. This ensures the right port is selected. Then follow the steps described by rjschneider2 above.
I have been unable to set up my Dunlop mini as an expression pedal with the MC6. On the HX Stomp I had to invert the input to get it to work. I see no way of doing this with the MC6. Anybody figured this one out? Thanks!
In global configuration make sure Exp1 and/or Exp2 are set to Expression (whichever out you want to use for expression). I think by default they are both set to expression, though.
Then, are you using the original MC6 or MC6 mkII? I think setting up the expression on the MC6 mkII is slightly different. That's what I'm using, and I set it up in the bank as follows:
Press switch to enter preset/bank confiuration. Switch E should say "Exp" or something like that. I forget if it's on the first page or if you have to press B to move over a page. Once you click Exp, set Msg 1 to Exp, then the next option I think is either Empty of Exp. Select Exp again. Then select the CC# corresponding to expression on your midi device. Then, set the min and max values for expression. I usually do a full sweep, so min 0 and max 127. Finally set up your MIDI channel.
So for Chase Bliss products, it receives expression on CC# 100. So you'll select CC# 100, min 0 and max 127 (if you want the full sweep). Repeat this for any subsequent messages if you want to control more than one device via MIDI. You will also want to make sure to copy a bank's expression settings to other banks if you want to use the same expression configuration on multiple banks.
Sorry if this is a little vague, but I don't have the controller with me so I forget exactly what each screen reads.
