Connecting AX8 to MC6 MkII

I just received the MC6 MkII this week to use with my AX8, but I have some questions:

1. In the manual about the AxeFX Tuner under 'Things to Note' that it says to, "Connect your AxeFX Midi out to the MC6 Midi In".

I would have assumed it would be the opposite; MC6 MkII midi out -> AX8 midi in.

Is this only for the tuner feature. What if I want to control the looper function on the AX8?
