Is there any sort of way (or even, extra gear you'd suggest) if I wanted to send a simple footswitch message from the MC6 to my amp to change the amp channel? I just need a simple "on/off" message akin to a Boss FS-5U to switch between channels, but I'd like to fire that from the MC6, not an external switch pedal. I've looked at a few converters from midi -> footswitch signal (like the Midi Solutions footswitch controller) but that does wayyyy more than I need. I'm just looking for a simple "On midi input from this channel, send an on/off message to the amp" kinda thing.

Huh...that's a pretty nice find!

I looked around for something for a while, and I didn't want to spend $150 to do it. For my purposes, this works, but I think people have said it only works in latched mode. This happens to be what I need to switch the channels and/or boost on my Ceriatone Dumble clone, so it works for me.
For $30 or so, I figured it was worth trying (as I could return if needed). It works, and it's velcroed under my pedalboard.
Hey Ben!
What you are describing sounds like a relay type switch that can be triggered via midi.
In the past I played a Marshall JCM 800 and JCM 900 and in order to control the channel and reverb switching on both amps, I used the Sound Sculpture FootSim (currently $153 if you by direct). The Footsim is nice and compact uses 2 TRS connects (like Marshall used on those amps) to control both the channel and reverb functions. I still use it today with my Mesa Mark V 25 to switch via midi as well. 5-1/2" x 3" x 1-1/2"

There are similar larger control switchers like the Voodoo Lab Control switch that use TS style connectors for its 4 relays (same number as the footsim) but requires a larger housing. It also has a little bit better options as far as programming via the use of buttons on the outside of the housing and is a little cheap to boot - $139.99 - 6-1/4" x 3-1/8" x 1-1/4"(http://www.voodoolab.com/controlswitcher.htm)
Given the price of both of these items I would like to suggest one more option that will not be too much bigger but will also give you a lot more bang for your buck as well as give you some loops to be able to midi control some other pedals.
Decibel Eleven Loop Expander -
$189 Direct (but has a price drop on Musicians Friend for $141.33 right now)
6.34" x 4.73" x 1.20"
(sorry for the lack of conversion from decimal) about and 1.5 inches bigger in one dimension.

This guy will allow you to use one of its 4th loop as a channel switch for your amp but you also gain yourself 3 loops to put other none midi pedal in to add them or remove them from your signal chain. So if you don't need that many relay switches I would say this would be the way to go.
All the options are able to be powered by most pedalboard power supplies. I personally have used the FootSim and Loop Expander (both are still on my current board). Hope this helps.
